Please remember that our primary focus is on the development of the team and the local community. The positions of Chairman and Vice-Chairman are therefore unsalaried and management members responsible for the day-to-day affairs of the club will be paid salaries in line with local norms.

CHAIRMAN/FOUNDER – FRANK SELASIE COLE (ABDALLAH)

Mr. Frank Selasie Cole (Abdallah) - a qualified mechanical engineer by trade - founded Keta Sandlanders FC in November 2002 and has largely supported the club himself since its inception. Born and raised in Keta, Frank has a detailed knowledge of the area and a clear vision of how the club can be operated for the benefit of the local community. The club will be run with a level of organisation and professionalism not usually found in Ghanaian football. It is hoped that this approach will provide a profile for a squad of young and talented players and that this raised profile will benefit the community as a whole.

VICE-CHAIRMAN – PAUL JONES

Paul became involved with the Sandlanders during a four month stay in Ghana after graduating from Oxford University in 2004. Since this time he has worked to raise the profile of the club, work which has culminated in the development of this website. Paul, originally from Liverpool, is a London based Solicitor and he will oversee the growth of the side and various community schemes alongside other members of the management team.

TEAM MANAGER – DESMOND SETUSTSI KWABLA APEKU

Mr. Desmond Setutsi K. Apeku

As Team Manager of the Sandlanders, Mr Desmond Apeku - also an IT specialist - will be responsible for overseeing the day to day running of the club. Desmond acts as a link between the coaching staff, players and Chairman and will ensure that club funds are directed to the right areas. Also born and raised in Keta, Desmond shares Frank’s views on the path which the club will take over the next 5 years.
