As explained in our Aims the Keta Sandlanders will be managed and promoted along the same lines as a top European club. This website will bring the club exposure to fans all over the world, providing a window for talent and also an opportunity to bring in funds to develop the club.

In the same way that the Internet has gone some way to democratising the music industry – the availability of downloads and sites such as MySpace allowing previously unknown artists to reach an audience – the Sandlanders aim to illustrate how the same principles can be applied to sport and to football in particular.

Football fans worldwide are increasingly using the Internet to follow the game; checking on results, reading reports and gossip and now watching games live on the net (FC Barcelona and other clubs have begun to recognise this trend by setting up club channels on Youtube). In this sense clubs worldwide now have an opportunity to market themselves on the same footing as more successful sides, as long as the standard of football is good teams will be able to create a profile for themselves and appeal to an audience which was previously out of reach.

On this basis the Sandlanders hope to connect with a global audience and to develop the media and corporate profile of the club.
