Here the Sandlanders set out a feasible 5 year plan which would see them firmly established in the Ghanaian Premiership by 2012. The pace of development shown by clubs such as Liberty Professionals (discussed in ‘Ghanaian Football in Profile’) is a clear example of the progress which can be made when a professional approach is taken to club management.
Year 1 – 03.09.2007 – 02.09.2008 - Training Friendlies and Division 2
Our first season in Division 2 proved a successful one as we finished second in our zone behind a strong Red Bull Soccer Academy. Following this initial year of building a squad we are now ready for a genuine promotion challenge.

Year 2 – 03.09.2008 – 02.09.2009 – Division 2
During this period funding will continue to be put into player and club development and we expect to mount a serious promotion challenge this term. Our website has also developed and we will now be posting regular reports on Ghanaian football, video highlights of games, pictures and reports.
Year 3 – 03.09.2009 – 02.09.2010 – Division 1
The Sandlanders are confident that sustained funding through the website will allow them to adjust to the standard of their opposition as necessary. By this point the core of the team would hopefully have been together for 2 full years, facilities would have been improved and the team would be in a strong position to challenge for immediate promotion to the Premiership.
Year 4 – 03.09.2010 – 02.09.2011 – Premiership
As elsewhere in the world, in Ghanaian football there is a gulf in class between the top and the second tier. The investment which would have been made in all aspects of the club by this point however should allow the Sandlanders to go into the Premiership and consolidate their place. The Sandlanders hope by the fourth year of their programme that firm plans for a club stadium and academy would be in place.
Year 5 – 03.09.2011 – 02.09.2012 – Qualification for African Competition
The top 2 teams in the Ghanaian Premiership qualify for the African Champions League. Third and fourth placed sides qualify for the Confederations Cup (Africa’s equivalent of the UEFA Cup). After a year of consolidation in the Premiership the Sandlanders would hope to be in a position to challenge for a place on the Continental stage.
